THE ARTIST
Ibrahim Nofal is a Palestinian photojournalist, producer, and director of photography from Gaza.
He began photographing at a young age, in his hometown of Jabalia Camp, in northern Gaza. Naturally, his homeland became the center of his art practice.
His work is rooted in visual storytelling—moving between documentary and lived experience, between witnessing and remembering.
Guided by the desire to preserve the truth and beauty of his homeland, he captures moments of presence and belonging.
Over time, Ibrahim's practice has evolved into a larger archive of moments that reflect both resilience and tenderness, shaped by a deep connection to home.
THE PRINTS
These prints began in Gaza.
What started as an intimate way of documenting everyday life in Ibrahim’s homeland gradually connected Gaza with the world.
This project was initially born as a way for Ibrahim to provide for his family in Gaza during the genocide. Captured in Gaza and produced by hand in North Carolina, these prints began to travel—finding their way into homes across the world.
Each print is a continuous record of life in Gaza: its people, its beloved sea, the rhythm of daily life, and the quiet details that often go unseen.
Together, these photographs form a body of work that seeks to preserve the essence of Gaza. Amidst the hardships that Gaza has and still endures, this work reflects its beauty, humanity, memory, and sense of belonging.
A LIVING ARCHIVE
This collection is not fixed. It continues to evolve as new images are added, while earlier images remain as they are.
What connects them is not a single event, but the lived moments of Gaza they carry.
Together, these prints form a testimony to life in Gaza, and Gaza's love for life.
